About us

About us

Two careers that began at opposite ends of the same business — one building the factories, one moving what they make — and met over a 190ml can.

Ghassan Adel Sadiq Kajo has spent more than twenty years founding, managing and running food and beverage plants across Canada and the United States: a food distribution company, a tahini factory, and the beverage plant he oversees today. Nashwan Zuhair Bashir has spent more than twenty-five importing and trading foodstuffs into Iraq, and knows exactly how a product reaches a shelf here.

For most of that time those were separate problems. One knew how to build a line and hold it to a standard; the other knew what the market would actually take. Dream is the first thing that needed both — an iced coffee produced in Iraq to the standards of the plants Ghassan has run abroad, and put into the trade Nashwan has spent a career inside.

That is the whole of the ambition. Not an imported can with an Arabic sticker on the back, but a drink made here, held to the quality and food-safety systems the category demands, in three flavours worth going back for. Original, Mocha and Cappuccino are where it starts — local first, then the region, then wherever the can travels well.

Frequently
asked

What makes Dream different from other canned coffee?

Most iced coffee on the shelf here is imported — made somewhere else, shipped in, and stickered in Arabic on the back. Dream is made in Iraq, at Hurtn Factory. It comes out of two careers that met over a 190ml can: one spent more than twenty years founding and running food and beverage plants across Canada and the United States, the other more than twenty-five importing and trading food into Iraqi markets. One knows how to build a line and hold it to a standard. The other knows what it actually takes to reach a shelf here. Dream is the first thing that needed both.

Is Dream sweetened?

Yes. Sugar is the second ingredient in all three flavours, and a 190ml can declares 11g of sugars and 70 calories. The full panel is printed on the back of every can.

Does it need to be kept cold?

Not until it is open. The can is ready to drink and stores below 25°C — shake it well before you open it, and keep it refrigerated once you have.

How much caffeine is in a can?

PLACEHOLDER — the one regulated figure the label does not carry. Give the real number here once the factory confirms it; do not estimate it from the coffee content.

Where is Dream made?

In Iraq, at Hurtn Factory. Every can carries “Product of Iraq” on the back, with its production and expiry dates printed on the base.

Is it suitable for a dairy-free diet?

No. All three are made with top-grade powdered milk, so Original, Mocha and Cappuccino all contain dairy. Milk is the only declarable allergen on the label.

Can I stock Dream in my café or shop?

Yes. Dream is sold to the trade by the case, direct from Hurtn Factory. Write to SalesHortonFactory@gmail.com or call +964 776 666 6903 — tell us where you are and roughly what volume you need, and we will take it from there.

Where can I buy it?

Any shop near you. Dream is stocked by grocers and cafés — look for the 190ml can. If yours does not have it yet, ask them for it, or write to us and we will help you find it.
